What began as an effort to repay a debt owed to a sport so special is now in its fifth decade. The Richard Sachs Cyclocross Team is a child born of more than forty seasons, hundreds of racers, at least as many bicycles made just for these racers, and from many, many folks who have supported us since 1981.

We are excited for another five months of competition, camaraderie, travel, good fun, bad food, all sorts of weather, endless loads of laundry, and making memories that will endure.

Though so much time has passed since the Richard Sachs name first appeared on the back of a C.Y.B.C. rider’s jersey atop one of his red and white bicycles, he has never thought of this as his team. It has always belonged to all of us — an organization comprised of dedicated and enthusiastic racers and the support system that allows it to exist.

The Richard Sachs Cyclocross Team is a family. The wind behind our sails has always been the long list of sponsors and industry brands who keep us well oiled.
